Problem XXIX / 14
Enzymes involved in the metabolism of photo-organo-heterotrophically growing Rhodospirillum rubrum

The growth medium for Rhodospirillum rubrum, a phototrophic non-sulfur bacterium, contains succinate as the sole source of electrons and carbon. The organisms metabolize succinate via the oxidative tricarboxylic acid cycle and produce intermediates which are assimilated (dashed arrows in the figure).
Which enzymes are involved in the photo-heterotophic metabolism of succinate ?
Mark in the table the number of the reaction which is catalyzed by a particular enzyme. Leave the field empty if you think that an enzyme listed in the table is not involved in the metabolism as drawn in the figure. The listing of the structural formulas of the intermediates might aid in identifying the reaction type.
