IHT: Degradation of Propionate by Syntrophobacter wolinii communities		  
     
 

In this exercise we will use Thermodyn to understand the role of interspecies hydrogen transfer (IHT) by investigating metabolic coupling between a propionate utilizing hydrogen producer and a hydrogenotrophic sulfate reducer. We will first reconstruct syntrophic reactions from data given in a Thermodyn table and then find optimal H2-coupling concentrations from graphic presentations.
