IHT: Metabolism of butyrate by an anaerobic enrichment culture		  
     
 

Employing Thermodyn the student will analyze syntrophic interactions between a butyrate oxidizer and various hydrogen scavengers under given boundary conditions, and define optimal concentrations of H2 for dissimilatory interspecies hydrogen transfer (IHT).
