The following computer exercises are offered during the Microbial Ecology
Course
Computer Applications in Microbial Ecology, Phyolgeny, Ecological Thermodynamics,
Geomicrobiology and Bio-informatics
Every Thursday evening, 6 to 8 p.m., we offer a 2-hour evening course in the
e-learning lab. These courses are not mandatory parts of the MICROBIAL ECOLOGY
course. Signing-up is required, however, since there are only 6 computer
work stations (MAC) available. Participants should have basic working skills
using internet browsers, word processing programs (e.g. Microsoft Word or
equivalent) and spread sheet calculation programs (e.g. Excel or equivalent).
On Thursday, November 29, we offer an introductory course to practice the
use of the Internet. Students who feel they need a refresher on how to use
the Internet should participate. Please sign up during the introductory
session on Monday morning, November 26.
The courses can be repeated if there are more applicants than computer work
stations
All courses will take place in the computer lab of the e-learning center
located on the first floor of the Carriage House, Zollikerstreet 115. |
